Everything was better than I expected, I have normally stayed in premier Inn or Travel Lodge, but this was an eye opener. Every thing that is provided in the Premier and Lodges was provided in the Campanile. There was separate heating provided which could be turned on or off to suit the guest (no thermostat that didn't work). The beds and Pillows were most comfortable and soft and the duvets warm. What was most appealing for me was the breakfasts. there was an excellent array of cereal, Toast that toasted quickly and hams and cheese, but most of all the breakfast was just what you ordered and INDIVIDUALLY COOKED, so your breakfast was fresh and hot, (no more cold, hard fried eggs, cold beans, solid strips of bacon etc., it was marvellous. The staff were incredibly friendly and more than helpful. The Campanile is my first stop now every time I travel, especially to Wakefield. I live in the North of Scotland and most all my family live in and around Wakefield. The cost and Travelling and staying in either Premier or Travel Lodge means it's too expensive to travel and see family more than once a year. With Campanile I can now travel more often.

The room (26 - twin) was clean, modern and comfortable. The mattresses aren’t the best, but fine for one night. The divan was showing damage that had been taped, but nothing that interfered with our comfort. The shower room looked new and was spotless. For anyone with mobility issues, get yourself a non slip shower mat from reception before they close at 11pm (only night porter available after that) as the shower tray doesn’t have any grips - it meant for a slippery showering the next morning. The staff were helpful and friendly and although we didn’t eat in the dining room during our stay, I was pleased to find it was warm and comfortable looking. Great value for the price, will stay again if we need a single night in the area. Plentiful parking and easy access around the side to our accessible room (ramp down from car park).

Very friendly and helpful staff. It isn’t a luxury hotel but the room was clean, with comfortable beds, TV, soap and shampoo, towels, bath/shower, tea and coffee facilities plus a hairdryer. We could park off road near our room. We were very pleased with our stay. We didn’t have breakfast but you could have either a cooked breakfast or a continental one in what appeared to be a pleasant lounge area.

As always The rooms are Clean, Tidy and welcoming, the bathroom is very clean and spacious and clean towels are great the bed is clean & very comfortable , reception area is always very clean neat & tidy, very friendly helpful staff to assist with any query or issue.

Robert

Staff was friendly, easy booking in procedure. The location is out the way and extremely quiet. Great view of the car park so I knew my car was safe. Compared to other hotels it was the most affordable in the area and extremely close to food and entertainment venues.
